| The
3rd annual Sedona Book Festival will be all day Saturday,
October 1, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at Yavapai College in
Sedona. We are very excited about this year’s event
and hope you all come out and enjoy our local celebration
of books, authors and reading.
First of all, we have four outstanding headliners that will
be making presentations throughout the day:
• Local award-winning author and writing instructor
Kris Neri will conduct a how-to-get-published workshop at
9:30 am.
• Elote Café owner and chef Jeff Smedstad will
conduct a cooking demonstration at 11:30 am.
• International bestselling author Diana Gabaldon will
debut the 20th anniversary edition of Outlander, the first
book in her epic series, at 2:00 pm.
• Lisa Schnebly Heidinger will present her official
Arizona centennial book – Arizona – 100 Years
Grand - at 4:00 pm.
Second, we will have dozens of local and regional authors,
publishers and writer organizations exhibiting their books
and services, representing all genres and publishing methods.
Third, members of the Sedona Performers Guild will be on hand
all day, entertaining us with their original and creative
music in the outdoor plaza. Food service will also be available
in our special festival café.
And, fourth, general admission is FREE and that includes ample
parking adjacent to Yavapai College. It also means that attendance
at any or all of our headliners’ presentations is FREE.
All we ask in return is that you show up, that you support
our exhibitors if you find something you like, and that all
books that you’d like signed by any of our headliners
be purchased either at the festival or in advance at The Well
Red Coyote.

Hope to see you there! |
