The first ever and first annual Sedona Book
Festival is almost here!
Dream becomes reality on Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 am
until 5:00 pm, right here in the back parking lot of The Well
Red Coyote. And, making this all even more special, in honor
of the Festival, the Sedona City Council formally proclaimed
October as “Book Lovers Month.”
Planning for this event began earlier this year and I am amazed
and overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from you,
the Sedona/Verde Valley community – from the City of
Sedona and the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, to the Sedona Public
Library and Yavapai College, to so many other individuals,
businesses and organizations too numerous to mention in the
confines of this monthly column.
The Festival is free! So make plans now to spend all or part
of the day browsing 44 exhibitor tables under our big Festival
tent, listening to author presentations throughout the day
in our special authors tent, enjoying live music from our
outdoor music stage and participating in our children’s
program in the bookstore.
We have over 100 authors, publishers, writer organizations
and others participating in the Sedona Book Festival. Whatever
you do, do NOT miss this inaugural event of what will be another
“notch in the belt” of Sedona’s extensive
cultural history and the continuing development of all that
is artistic and creative here.

On behalf of my co-founder and co-sponsor, Barbara Litrell
of Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition, thank you for all of
your past, present and continuing support.
